Your Pikey Peak adventure begins with an early departure from Kathmandu, heading east through the Araniko Highway into the quieter hill roads of Solu. A short stop at Ghurmi Bazar offers local chai and a breather before the road winds up to Dhap Bazar — a small, unhurried settlement marking the true start of trekking country. Settle in and let the Himalayan stillness set the tone.

The trail climbs steadily out of Dhap Bazar through rhododendron forest and terraced farmland. A natural pause at Khamding Village offers sweeping valley views and a warm cup of tea before the path continues upward to Jhapre. This quiet hilltop settlement sits at a comfortable altitude, making it an ideal acclimatisation stop before the higher days ahead.

The trail pushes higher through Bhulbhule and Lamjhung, passing yak pastures and thinning treelines as the altitude begins to bite.
