Cancellations & Refunds

At Travories, we understand that travel plans can change. This policy explains when refunds are available and how payments are handled for different bookings.

Effective May 1, 2026

Individual Trekking Cancellation & Refund Policy (Multi-Day Treks)

1. Booking & Payment

  • A minimum 30% advance payment is required to confirm an individual trekking booking.
  • You may choose to pay:
    • 30% advance only
    • Any amount between 30% and 99%
    • 100% of the total trip cost
  • Any remaining balance must be paid at least 7 days before the trek start date.
  • Failure to complete payment on time may result in automatic cancellation.

2. Cancellation by You

Cancel 7 Days or More Before the Trek Start Date

• If 100% of the trip cost was paid:

Full refund minus bank/transaction fees and any costs already incurred on your behalf.

• If only 30% advance was paid:

The 30% advance payment is non-refundable.

• If paid between 30% and 99%:

30% of the total trip cost is non-refundable.

Any amount paid above 30% is refundable after deductions.

Cancel Less Than 7 Days Before the Trek Start Date

No refund, regardless of the amount paid.

(Guides, porters, accommodation, transport, and permits are already confirmed.)

3. Failure to Pay Remaining Balance

  • If the remaining balance is not paid at least 7 days before the trek start date, the booking is automatically canceled.
  • In such cases:
    • 30% of the total trip cost is non-refundable
    • Any additional amount paid may be refunded after deducting non-refundable costs and fees.

4. Non-Refundable Costs

Once arranged or issued, the following costs cannot be refunded:

  • Trekking permits and government fees
  • Visa assistance (if any)
  • Domestic or international flight tickets
  • Travel insurance
  • Customized or personalized services

5. No-Show & Early Exit

  • No-show on the trek start date → No refund
  • Leaving the trek early for personal reasons → No refund

6. Cancellation by Travories (Before Trek Starts Only)

If Travories cancels the trek before it begins due to extreme weather, natural disasters, government restrictions, political instability, or safety concerns, you may choose:

  • A full refund
  • Rescheduling the trek (subject to availability)

Travories does not cover personal expenses such as flights, visas, accommodation, or insurance.

This clause does not apply once the trek has started.

7. Date Changes

  • Requests made 7 days or more before the trek start date may be accepted free of charge, subject to availability.
  • Requests made within 7 days may not be possible or may involve additional costs.
