About Dattatreya Square

Located in the eastern part of the old city, Dattatreya Square offers a quieter atmosphere while showcasing beautifully preserved temples, monasteries, and traditional Newari houses. The square is named after the historic Dattatreya Temple, which is believed to have been built using timber from a single tree.
