Our 21-day Everest Base Camp and Island Peak adventure combines one of the world’s most iconic treks with the challenge of climbing a Himalayan peak above 6,000 metres.
The journey begins in Kathmandu before flying to Lukla and trekking through the Khumbu Valley via Phakding, Namche Bazaar, Tengboche, Dingboche and Lobuche. Acclimatization days are included to help your body adjust safely to the altitude.
You will first reach Everest Base Camp and then hike to Kala Patthar for spectacular views of Mount Everest and the surrounding Himalayan peaks.
From there, the journey continues toward Chhukung and Island Peak Base Camp, where our climbing team will provide practical training with essential mountaineering equipment before the summit attempt.
With the support of an experienced climbing guide, you will attempt Island Peak (Imja Tse), one of Nepal’s most popular trekking peaks.
After the climb, we descend through the Everest region and return to Lukla before flying back to Kathmandu.
This journey is ideal for fit and adventurous travelers who want to experience Everest Base Camp, Kala Patthar and a Himalayan summit attempt in one complete expedition.

Upon your arrival at Tribhuvan International Airport (TIA) in Kathmandu, a member of our team will be waiting to receive you.
After meeting you at the airport, we will assist with your luggage and transfer you by private vehicle to your hotel in Kathmandu.
Once you check in, the rest of the day is kept relaxed so you can recover from your international journey and prepare for the adventure ahead.
In the evening, we will host a welcome dinner, where you can meet the team and receive a short briefing about your upcoming Everest Base Camp and Island Peak climbing expedition.
You will then return to the hotel for a comfortable overnight stay in Kathmandu.

After breakfast, our team will conduct a complete gear check and expedition briefing for your Everest Base Camp and Island Peak journey.
We will review your trekking and climbing equipment and explain the route, acclimatisation plan, summit strategy and important safety procedures.
If anything is missing, we will assist you with last-minute gear shopping or rental in Kathmandu before the expedition begins.
Fly to Lukla & Trek to Phakding

Travel Time: Approx. 30–35 min flight + 3–4 hrs trekking
Early in the morning, our team will transfer you to the airport for the scenic flight to Lukla.
After landing, we will meet the trekking crew and begin our trek toward Phakding. The trail follows the Dudh Koshi Valley through Sherpa settlements, suspension bridges and beautiful mountain scenery.
After approximately 3–4 hours of trekking, we will reach Phakding, check into the teahouse and rest for the night.
Trek from Phakding to Namche Bazaar

Trekking Time: Approx. 6–7 hours
After breakfast in Phakding, we begin the trek toward Namche Bazaar, the main trading hub of the Everest region.
The trail follows the Dudh Koshi River, crossing several suspension bridges and passing through small Sherpa villages and forested sections.
We then enter Sagarmatha National Park and continue toward the famous Hillary Suspension Bridge before beginning the long uphill climb to Namche.
After approximately 6–7 hours of trekking, we reach Namche Bazaar, where we check into the teahouse and rest for the evening.
Acclimatization Day in Namche Bazaar

Activity Time: Approx. 3–4 hours of light hiking
Today is dedicated to acclimatization, allowing your body to adjust gradually to the increasing altitude.
After breakfast, we will take a short hike around Namche, typically toward Everest View Hotel or a nearby viewpoint, to gain some elevation and enjoy panoramic views of Everest, Lhotse, Ama Dablam and surrounding peaks.
After the hike, we descend back to Namche Bazaar for lunch and spend the rest of the day resting, exploring the town, or visiting local cafés and shops.
This acclimatization day is an important part of the journey and helps prepare you for the higher-altitude trekking ahead.
Trek from Namche Bazaar to Tengboche

Trekking Time: Approx. 5–6 hours
After breakfast, we leave Namche Bazaar and continue deeper into the Everest region toward Tengboche.
The trail offers beautiful views of Everest, Lhotse, Nuptse and Ama Dablam as we descend toward the Dudh Koshi River before beginning the gradual climb to Tengboche.
After approximately 5–6 hours of trekking, we reach Tengboche, home to the famous Tengboche Monastery, one of the most important Buddhist monasteries in the Khumbu region.
We will check into the teahouse and spend the evening enjoying the peaceful mountain surroundings.
Trek from Tengboche to Dingboche

Trekking Time: Approx. 6-7 hours
After breakfast, we leave Tengboche and continue toward Dingboche, passing through forests, small Sherpa settlements and the village of Pangboche.
As we gain altitude, the landscape becomes more open and dramatic, with excellent views of Ama Dablam, Lhotse and surrounding Himalayan peaks.
After approximately 6-7 hours of trekking, we reach Dingboche, where we check into the teahouse and rest for the evening.
Acclimatization Day in Dingboche

Activity Time: Approx. 3–5 hours of acclimatization hiking
Today is another important acclimatization day to help your body adjust before moving higher into the Everest region.
After breakfast, we will take a gradual hike to a nearby viewpoint, such as Nangkartshang Hill, gaining additional altitude while enjoying impressive views of Ama Dablam, Lhotse, Makalu and the surrounding Himalayan peaks.
After spending some time at higher elevation, we descend back to Dingboche for lunch and rest.
The remainder of the day is kept relaxed so you can recover, hydrate and prepare for the higher-altitude trekking days ahead.
Trek from Dingboche to Lobuche

Trekking Time: Approx. 6-8 hours
After breakfast, we leave Dingboche and continue toward Lobuche, gradually gaining altitude as the landscape becomes more rugged and alpine.
The trail passes through Thukla, followed by a steady climb toward the memorial area dedicated to climbers who lost their lives in the Himalayas.
From there, we continue through the upper Khumbu Valley with impressive views of Nuptse, Pumori and other surrounding peaks.
After approximately 5–6 hours of trekking, we reach Lobuche, where we check into the teahouse and rest for the evening.
Trek from Lobuche to Everest Base Camp & Continue to Gorak Shep

After an early breakfast, we leave Lobuche and trek toward Gorak Shep, the final settlement before Everest Base Camp.
After a short break, we continue across the rugged glacial terrain toward Everest Base Camp, enjoying dramatic views of the Khumbu Glacier and surrounding Himalayan peaks.
After reaching Everest Base Camp, we will spend time taking in the atmosphere, capturing photographs, and celebrating this major milestone of the expedition.
We then retrace our steps back to Gorak Shep, where we check into the teahouse and rest for the night.
Sunrise Hike to Kala Patthar & Trek to Dingboche

We start very early in the morning with a hike from Gorak Shep to Kala Patthar, one of the best viewpoints in the Everest region.
From the top, you can enjoy spectacular sunrise views over Mount Everest, Nuptse, Pumori and the surrounding Himalayan peaks.
After spending some time at the viewpoint, we descend back to Gorak Shep for breakfast and then begin the trek down toward Dingboche.
The descent takes us through the upper Khumbu Valley, with the trail becoming more comfortable as we gradually lose altitude.
After approximately 8-10 hours of total hiking and trekking, we reach Dingboche and rest for the night.
Trek from Dingboche to Chhukung

Trekking Time: Approx. 3–4 hours
After breakfast, we leave Dingboche and follow the trail deeper into the Imja Valley toward Chhukung.
This is a relatively shorter trekking day, allowing your body to continue adapting to the altitude before the Island Peak climbing section begins.
Along the way, you will enjoy impressive views of Lhotse, Ama Dablam, Island Peak and the surrounding Himalayan landscape.
After approximately 3–4 hours of trekking, we reach Chhukung, check into the teahouse, and spend the rest of the day resting and preparing for the upcoming climb.
Trek from Chhukung to Island Peak Base Camp

After breakfast, we leave Chhukung and trek toward Island Peak Base Camp, following the trail through the upper Imja Valley.
The route passes through a rugged high-altitude landscape with impressive views of Island Peak, Lhotse, Nuptse and surrounding Himalayan peaks.
After approximately 5-6 hours of trekking, we reach Island Peak Base Camp and settle into our camp.
In the afternoon, our climbing team will conduct a final gear check and climbing briefing, covering the equipment, safety procedures and summit plan for the following day.
Acclimatization & Climbing Training at Island Peak Base Camp

Activity Time: Approx. 4–5 hours of training and acclimatization
Today is dedicated to acclimatization and practical climbing preparation before the Island Peak summit attempt.
Our climbing team will conduct hands-on training covering the proper use of crampons, harnesses, jumars, ropes and other technical equipment.
You will also practice basic glacier movement, fixed-rope techniques, ascending and descending procedures, and safety communication with the climbing guide.
The rest of the day will be kept relaxed so you can hydrate, recover and prepare physically and mentally for the summit push.
Island Peak Summit Push & Return to Chhukung

Climbing Time: Approx. 10–12 hours
We begin very early, usually before dawn, for the Island Peak summit attempt at 6,189 metres.
The climb involves steep high-altitude terrain, glacier sections and the use of fixed ropes, crampons, harnesses and jumars under the guidance of our climbing team.
After reaching the summit, you will be rewarded with exceptional views of Lhotse, Nuptse, Ama Dablam and the surrounding Himalayan peaks.
We then carefully descend back to Island Peak Base Camp and continue onward to Chhukung, where we rest after a long and demanding summit day.
Contingency / Reserve Day for Island Peak

Activity Time: Flexible depending on summit conditions
Today is kept as a contingency day for the Island Peak summit.
If bad weather, route conditions, or other safety concerns prevent a summit attempt on the planned day, this reserve day gives the team another opportunity to attempt Island Peak (6,189 m) under safer conditions.
If the summit has already been completed successfully, the day will be used for rest and recovery in Chhukung before beginning the return journey.
Trek from Chhukung to Tengboche

Trekking Time: Approx. 6–7 hours
After breakfast, we begin our descent from Chhukung toward Tengboche, retracing part of the trail through the Imja Valley.
The route passes through Dingboche and Pangboche, with beautiful views of Ama Dablam, Lhotse and the surrounding Khumbu mountains along the way.
As we descend to lower altitude, the trail becomes more comfortable and the landscape gradually turns greener.
After approximately 6–7 hours of trekking, we reach Tengboche, check into the teahouse and rest for the evening.
Trek from Tengboche to Namche Bazaar

Trekking Time: Approx. 5–6 hours
After breakfast, we leave Tengboche and begin descending through forests toward the Dudh Koshi Valley.
The trail then climbs gradually back toward Namche Bazaar, with beautiful views of Ama Dablam, Everest, Lhotse and surrounding peaks along the way.
After approximately 5–6 hours of trekking, we reach Namche Bazaar, check into the teahouse and enjoy a well-earned rest after the Island Peak expedition.
Trek from Namche Bazaar to Lukla

Trekking Time: Approx. 7-8 hours
After breakfast, we begin the final trekking day of the expedition, descending from Namche Bazaar toward Lukla.
The trail follows the familiar route through the Dudh Koshi Valley, crossing suspension bridges and passing through Sherpa villages such as Monjo, Phakding and others along the way.
After approximately 7-8 hours of trekking, we reach Lukla, check into the teahouse and spend the evening resting and celebrating the completion of the trekking and climbing journey.
Fly from Lukla to Kathmandu & Hotel Transfer

After breakfast in Lukla, we head to the airport for the scenic flight back to Kathmandu.
Upon arrival, our team will meet you at the airport and transfer you by private vehicle to your hotel in Kathmandu.
The rest of the day is free for you to relax, recover from the expedition, enjoy a hot shower, or explore Kathmandu at your own pace.
Final Departure – Hotel to Tribhuvan International Airport

After breakfast, you can enjoy your final moments in Kathmandu before departure.
Depending on your international flight time, our team will pick you up from your hotel and transfer you by private vehicle to Tribhuvan International Airport (TIA).
We will assist you with your departure arrangements and say goodbye as your Everest Base Camp and Island Peak adventure comes to an end.
