Overview

Our 21-day Everest Base Camp and Island Peak adventure combines one of the world’s most iconic treks with the challenge of climbing a Himalayan peak above 6,000 metres.

The journey begins in Kathmandu before flying to Lukla and trekking through the Khumbu Valley via Phakding, Namche Bazaar, Tengboche, Dingboche and Lobuche. Acclimatization days are included to help your body adjust safely to the altitude.

You will first reach Everest Base Camp and then hike to Kala Patthar for spectacular views of Mount Everest and the surrounding Himalayan peaks.

From there, the journey continues toward Chhukung and Island Peak Base Camp, where our climbing team will provide practical training with essential mountaineering equipment before the summit attempt.

With the support of an experienced climbing guide, you will attempt Island Peak (Imja Tse), one of Nepal’s most popular trekking peaks.

After the climb, we descend through the Everest region and return to Lukla before flying back to Kathmandu.

This journey is ideal for fit and adventurous travelers who want to experience Everest Base Camp, Kala Patthar and a Himalayan summit attempt in one complete expedition.

After breakfast in Phakding, we begin the trek toward Namche Bazaar, the main trading hub of the Everest region.

The trail follows the Dudh Koshi River, crossing several suspension bridges and passing through small Sherpa villages and forested sections.

We then enter Sagarmatha National Park and continue toward the famous Hillary Suspension Bridge before beginning the long uphill climb to Namche.

After approximately 6–7 hours of trekking, we reach Namche Bazaar, where we check into the teahouse and rest for the evening.

Today is dedicated to acclimatization, allowing your body to adjust gradually to the increasing altitude.

After breakfast, we will take a short hike around Namche, typically toward Everest View Hotel or a nearby viewpoint, to gain some elevation and enjoy panoramic views of Everest, Lhotse, Ama Dablam and surrounding peaks.

After the hike, we descend back to Namche Bazaar for lunch and spend the rest of the day resting, exploring the town, or visiting local cafés and shops.

This acclimatization day is an important part of the journey and helps prepare you for the higher-altitude trekking ahead.

Today is another important acclimatization day to help your body adjust before moving higher into the Everest region.

After breakfast, we will take a gradual hike to a nearby viewpoint, such as Nangkartshang Hill, gaining additional altitude while enjoying impressive views of Ama Dablam, Lhotse, Makalu and the surrounding Himalayan peaks.

After spending some time at higher elevation, we descend back to Dingboche for lunch and rest.

The remainder of the day is kept relaxed so you can recover, hydrate and prepare for the higher-altitude trekking days ahead.

We start very early in the morning with a hike from Gorak Shep to Kala Patthar, one of the best viewpoints in the Everest region.

From the top, you can enjoy spectacular sunrise views over Mount Everest, Nuptse, Pumori and the surrounding Himalayan peaks.

After spending some time at the viewpoint, we descend back to Gorak Shep for breakfast and then begin the trek down toward Dingboche.

The descent takes us through the upper Khumbu Valley, with the trail becoming more comfortable as we gradually lose altitude.

After approximately 8-10 hours of total hiking and trekking, we reach Dingboche and rest for the night.

We begin very early, usually before dawn, for the Island Peak summit attempt at 6,189 metres.

After reaching the summit, you will be rewarded with exceptional views of Lhotse, Nuptse, Ama Dablam and the surrounding Himalayan peaks.

We then carefully descend back to Island Peak Base Camp and continue onward to Chhukung, where we rest after a long and demanding summit day.
